The ICAP questionnaire tool provides an easy to set-up online questionnaire for evaluation of teaching in school and out. It bases on the so-called ICAP-framework (Chi, 2009).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ICAP-framework proposed by Chi (2009) focuses observable learning activities and postulates a relation between certain learning activities, cognitive processing of learners and knowledge construction. While cognitive activation of learners is not directly observable, it can be inferred, however, through the observable learning activities. Chi and Wylie (2014) proposed four specific levels of observable learning activities (i<\/em>nteractiv, c<\/em>onstructive, a<\/em>ctive, p<\/em>assive), which differ in the extent and quality of cognitive activation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through the application of Item-Response-Theory the measured scores allows to make comparisons across courses, studies and lectures possible.
